The 2025 Student Representative Congress of CUFE Business School was grandly held on June 8. Yang Zhongying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CUFE Business School, and Wang Huiting, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of CUFE Business School, were invited to attend the congress. Meanwhile, 46 student representatives from various classes of the Business School, all departments of the Student Union, affiliated associations and student teams participated in the congress. The meeting was presided over by Liu Baijiang, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of CUFE Business School.
The congress kicked off with the solemn national anthem. On behalf of the Party Committee of the School, Yang Zhongying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CUFE Business School, delivered an opening speech for this Student Representative Congress. She fully affirmed the outstanding achievements made by the Youth League Committee and the Student Union of the Business School in the past year. Professor Yang emphasized that the Youth League Committee and the Student Union are crucial communication bridges between the School and students, and have created a good atmosphere for the construction of campus culture. Regarding all representatives as well as members of the Youth League Committee and the Student Union, Professor Yang put forward expectations: The 2025 Student Representative Congress of the Business School is a major event in the political life of students and an important way for students to experience socialist democracy on campus. It is hoped that students will actively put forward suggestions for the development of the School; that all students will consolidate the soul of ideals and beliefs and bravely act as pioneers at the forefront of the times; and that students will temper their solid skills and strive to be role models in growing into talents. Finally, she expressed the hope that all members of the new Youth League Committee and Student Union will stay true to their original aspirations, keep their missions in mind, inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of the Youth League Committee and Student Union of the Business School, and write a new chapter for the university and the School.
Li Linlin, Deputy Secretary of the Student Youth League Committee of CUFE Business School, and Zhou Ruihan, Executive Chairman of the Student Union of CUFE Business School, respectively delivered the "Preparatory Work Report for the 2025 Student Representative Congress of CUFE Business School" and the "Report on the Qualification Review of Representatives of the 2025 Student Representative Congress of CUFE Business School" at the congress. They fully and detailedly reported the progress of the preparatory work and the qualification review of representatives to the congress. The adequate preparations ensured that the congress conformed to the standardized requirements in terms of form, procedure and tasks.
Sun Tianyu, the current Executive Chairman of the Student Union of CUFE Business School, delivered the report titled "Gathering Youth Strength to Undertake Missions, Striving for the Forefront to Create First-Class - Work Report of the Youth League Committee and Student Union of CUFE Business School for the 2024-2025 Academic Year". The report comprehensively presented the work process and achievements of the league and student organizations in the past year, and fully demonstrated the spiritual outlook of unity, cooperation and proactive dedication of the Youth League Committee and Student Union of CUFE Business School.
Wu Zhixin, Executive Chairman of the Student Union of CUFE Business School, delivered the "Report on the Proposal Work of the 2025 Student Representative Congress of CUFE Business School" at the congress. He elaborated on the progress of the proposal work and the collection of proposals, which fully reflected the sense of ownership of the Business School students who care about the development of the School and actively put forward suggestions.
Sun Xinyi, Deputy Secretary of the Student Youth League Committee of CUFE Business School, read out the "Election Rules (Draft) for the 2025 Student Representative Congress of CUFE Business School" at the congress. She clearly explained the complete procedures for the election of the new presidium of the Youth League Committee and the Student Union as well as the qualification requirements for candidates, laying a institutional foundation for the subsequent election work of the congress.
After the congress deliberated and unanimously adopted the "Election Rules (Draft) for the 2025 Student Representative Congress of CUFE Business School" and the list of vote supervisors and vote counters, 5 presidium candidates took the stage one after another to deliver campaign speeches. Combining their rich campus experiences and student work practices, they shared their plans for performing their duties, promised to take a more proactive approach to connecting with students, focus on practical needs, and fulfill their duties with dedication. They also made a solemn commitment to deeply engage with students, accurately meet their needs, and fully take on their responsibilities in the future. In their speeches, the candidates also based themselves on practice, expounded their innovative ideas and specific plans for the future development of the Student Union, and put forward constructive ideas for future work, demonstrating in-depth thinking. Finally, through secret ballot, the congress elected Wang Xiaorui, Cheng Yinuo, Liu Xinran, Fan Zechen and Xie Yixuan as members of the new presidium of the Youth League Committee and the Student Union of CUFE Business School.
The 2025 Student Representative Congress of CUFE Business School successfully completed all agendas in an atmosphere of unity, forging ahead, pragmatism and innovation, and concluded successfully with the passionate league song. The participating representatives worked together to discuss the development of the School with a high sense of responsibility. On the new journey, the league and student organizations of the Business School will be committed to practicing the spirit of "unity and forging ahead, pragmatism and innovation", continue to strive, and open up a new situation for student work.
